Amazing...

So I was watching/listening to The TODAY Show this morning. Security Specialist Bill Stanton assisted with yet another "what if" situation. This time he had a 7 yo little girl and staged an abduction.

Not once, Not twice, but 3 times White people walked by and didnt do a damn thing. They would turn around to see the commotion, but kept on going, did nothing to stop him.
Then 2 hours later, they did it again. This time, 2 men, YOUNG BLACK MEN, stopped and looked at the situation. Without even conferriing with each other they BOTH ran after Bill. Not only that, but at the same time, along the street a truck stopped in the middle of busy NY traffic and jumped out to run after this guy. He was HISPANIC.

WTF???

2 of the most highly criticized races, in regards to violence, took action to save a child from an abuction, but you have a WHITE Dad and his son, a WHITE 50ish couple and a WHITE 30ish chick that just look and keep walking, they didnt even stop to assess the situation even though the little girl was yelling at the top of her lungs "Help me, Youre not my dad" and he was dragging her off by her arm.

What does that say about our society? People are so numb to everything that they don't want to get involved.

Im sorry, I don't care what race or creed you are. If I'm walking down the street and I see something like that, I would approach the guy/woman and the child to see what was going on and if I still didnt feel comfortable with the situation, I'd call the police. I can't imagine no one doing anything. It was almost like they were thinking "Oh Im not going to get involved, someone else will help.".

I just cannot fathom that. I must say this morning, when the 2 young black men and the young hispanic man came to the little caucasion girls rescue, I actually yelled out "Yeah!!! Way to go guys!" with a smile on my face and a tear in my eye.
