What the heck

Did anyone else notice that all the contestants tonight on American Idol seemed off kilter? Even Chris, who normally gives a show stopping performance, was not impressive at all.

I suppose on the up side, seeing as they were all just not with it, it will be hard for America to vote off someone simply because of their performance tonight.

It will be interesting to see the results tomorrow night.

SnoW DaY Pics.........

My Back yard was really pretty until the boys got ahold of it.....

Snow DaY!!!!!

Remember when you were a kid (For some of us that was longer ago than for others)? Waking up on a school day all groggy and dreading the long day ahead. Then hearing those wonderous words coming from Mom's mouth "No school today, its a Snow Day!".

Oh Man, that was always the most wonderful thing. I don't know about the rest of you, but my mom always made us wait until at least 10am before we could go out in the Snow. Never understood why we couldnt go out at 630am. Well, now I do.

I woke Brax up at 630 this morning to tell him that there's no school today. Now, on a normal day, he would stay in bed an extra 5 mins or so while I go and make my coffee. Then he would get up and drudge down the hall way and plop himself at the kitchen table and scoop cereal into his mouth like a Zombie.

Today, however, the Snow Gods shined upon him. He woke up with a grin on his face. I say "Guess What?", he replies "No School?!". "Yep!" I say. Whooosh!!!! go the blankets and he hops out of bed like his butts on fire. All I can do is giggle at him and give him a morning hug, as I remember those days all too well.

So then, its 7am, he's been on his computer now for a half hour. His buddies (Grant and Shane) live accross the street. Apparently the Snow Gods shined upon them this morning as well because theyre up and on their computers too. Both of them are on http://www.runescape.com/, apparently this is the new fad for boys. Anyway, Brax yells out "Mom?! The phone is gonna ring in about 5mins". "Why?" I reply. "Well, Shanes gonna call" he says. I look at the clock, its only 7am. I say "Uhh, I dont think so dude. Its only 7am."

Good Greif!!! Well anyway. I guess I'll go feed him some breakfast now. He's bouncing off the walls and torturing the poor cat.

So for now, I will bid you all adieu!

Amazing...

So I was watching/listening to The TODAY Show this morning. Security Specialist Bill Stanton assisted with yet another "what if" situation. This time he had a 7 yo little girl and staged an abduction.

Not once, Not twice, but 3 times White people walked by and didnt do a damn thing. They would turn around to see the commotion, but kept on going, did nothing to stop him.
Then 2 hours later, they did it again. This time, 2 men, YOUNG BLACK MEN, stopped and looked at the situation. Without even conferriing with each other they BOTH ran after Bill. Not only that, but at the same time, along the street a truck stopped in the middle of busy NY traffic and jumped out to run after this guy. He was HISPANIC.

WTF???

2 of the most highly criticized races, in regards to violence, took action to save a child from an abuction, but you have a WHITE Dad and his son, a WHITE 50ish couple and a WHITE 30ish chick that just look and keep walking, they didnt even stop to assess the situation even though the little girl was yelling at the top of her lungs "Help me, Youre not my dad" and he was dragging her off by her arm.

What does that say about our society? People are so numb to everything that they don't want to get involved.

Im sorry, I don't care what race or creed you are. If I'm walking down the street and I see something like that, I would approach the guy/woman and the child to see what was going on and if I still didnt feel comfortable with the situation, I'd call the police. I can't imagine no one doing anything. It was almost like they were thinking "Oh Im not going to get involved, someone else will help.".

I just cannot fathom that. I must say this morning, when the 2 young black men and the young hispanic man came to the little caucasion girls rescue, I actually yelled out "Yeah!!! Way to go guys!" with a smile on my face and a tear in my eye.

Well, Well, Well...

Can you believe that Ace was in the Bottom 3? I sure would have thought it have been Melissa, Kevin and Bucky.

Im glad Melissa is gone. I did not like her nor think she could sing. I really hope the next one is Kevin. After that it will be really hard for me to vote one off.

Who will it be?

Well, we're down to our final 12. Who will be voted off tonight? I have a gut feeling it may be lil Kevy Kev.

We Shall See...
